Every instrument you prepare and reassurance you give will play a vital role in the success of each surgery and the comfort of every patient through life-changing treatments. What You'll Do: * Provide patient care with empathy before, during, and after procedures. * Assist surgeon with evaluations, surgeries, and post-op visits. * Take digital x-rays and models. * Document patient charts accurately during evaluations, surgical procedures, and post-op appointments. * Prepare surgical trays, and evaluation and surgical rooms for procedures. * Maintain sterilization of instruments, laboratories, and treatment rooms. * Complete clinical and pharmacy logs according to practice standard. What You'll Need: * One (1) year of dental assisting or surgery technical experience required; oral and maxillofacial surgery experience, preferred. * Demonstrated understanding of sterilization principles, required. * Understanding of HIPAA, required. * Radiology certification, required. * CPR certification, preferred. * Familiar with anatomy and medical and dental terminology pertaining to oral surgery. * Exceptional customer service skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. What It Takes: * Ability to lift 50 pounds. * Ability to assist with sedated patients. * Prolonged periods of standing and bending.
