CKD USA is seeking an Orbital Welder to join our Semiconductor Manufacturing Department in our Austin facility. This position is responsible for supporting the welding department and ensuring high-quality work in a Class 100 cleanroom environment. Responsibilities: Operates and maintains equipment and tooling relative to the operation of orbital welding. Performs orbital welding of gas lines ranging from ¼” to ½” diameter. Ensure weldments are built to specification based on the blueprint. Perform small adjustments to weldments utilizing hand tools. Performs daily, routine, and preventative maintenance/inspection on welding equipment. Follows all safety rules and procedures. Present a positive and respectful professional image towards customers and co-workers and make decisions based on company policies and processes. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements Requirements Requirements:Experience and Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Some technician coursework and/or AA technical degree/equivalent preferred Solid mechanical skills and a willingness to learn. Knowledge of common hand tools and power tools; ability to identify common hardware and build to complex instructions. Mechanically inclined with a fair level of dexterity to construct simple to complex assemblies or parts. Ability to read and interpret written information and blueprints. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Strong attention to detail and quality focused. Strong computer skills. Knowledge of high vacuum systems a plus. Related butt-welding experience preferred. Previous Orbital Welding experience required. Responsibilities
