WORK SHIFT: First Shift (United States of America) JOB DESCRIPTION: The Order Entry Clerk II receives and processes orders for Cambro Products. Utilizes Cambro systems to process orders, enter prices, enter delivery dates, and other data related to each transaction. Researches and resolves order errors and updates the system. May prepare packing lists or other order-related documentation. May provide backup to Order Analyst as needed. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Enters alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents into the computer following the format displayed on the screen. Compares data entered with source documents or re-enters data in verification format on screen to detect errors. Deletes incorrectly entered data and re-enters correct data. Memorize color codes, freight codes, and customers with permanent routing guides. Fax/email customer shipping label or packing list to shipping department as requested on order. Verify pricing on customer purchase orders and question significant discrepancies. Affix labels with the customer number and order number on the first page of the purchase order. Manually writes on purchase orders requesting missing data to be entered. Manually stamps purchase orders with missing data or price discrepancies. Compiles, sorts, and verifies the accuracy of data to be entered. Keeps record of work completed. Back up Order Analyst as needed. This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Maintains reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual and dependable to meet the needs of the department and the organization. Executes each essential duty satisfactorily to perform the job successfully. Follows all safety procedures required in the work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions. Performs effectively as a team member, can work well with others, is open to receiving and giving feedback, and treats everyone respectfully. Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects. Follows all department quality standards/criteria. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Three to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language skills: Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Reasoning Ability: Applying commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Data Entry speed of 8,000 keystrokes per hour with less than 5% errors.
