POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Order Entry / Customs Clerk to join our LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) trucking operations team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate entry of shipment orders and smooth customs processing for cross-border freight. The ideal candidate will possess strong data entry skills, a solid understanding of customs documentation, and a keen ability to coordinate with drivers, customers, and regulatory agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in logistics or customs administration is an asset.
• 2+ years of experience in a transportation, logistics, or customs environment (preferably LTL or cross-border).
• Familiarity with customs documentation (PARS, PAPS, NAFTA/CUSMA/USMCA forms) and brokerage procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a high-volume setting.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Outlook) and transportation management or customs software.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• (English/French) is a plus, especially for Canadian operations.

• Accurately input and verify LTL shipment details (pickups, deliveries, piece counts, weights, dimensions) into the transportation management system (TMS).
• Process waybills, bills of lading (BOLs), and shipment instructions according to customer specifications and carrier requirements.
• Track and update order statuses in real-time; communicate discrepancies or delays to appropriate parties.
• Coordinate with dispatchers and drivers to ensure proper documentation is in place prior to departure.
