ABOUT US

CLAY is a US-based online boutique curating modern, handcrafted homeware imported from Morocco. We specialize in ceramics, tableware, candles, and furniture — all designed to bring a modern touch to traditional craftsmanship.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a reliable and communicative part-time Fulfillment Assistant to help at our warehouse twice a week. The main responsibility is packing and preparing orders for shipping with exceptional care. Training will be provided, but once you’re comfortable, you’ll be expected to work independently while keeping us updated and asking questions when needed.
Since order frequency can vary, during lighter hours we may also ask for help with other simple tasks such as organizing inventory, light outreach (researching and contacting local interior designers, staging companies, or restaurants), or creating product content in the warehouse (photos or short videos of items). This ensures your time is always used meaningfully, even on slower days.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Reliable and communicative — responds promptly, provides updates, and is comfortable asking questions.
  • Organized and accurate — able to verify customer details and ensure correct items are shipped without mistakes.
  • Thorough and careful with packing: skilled in using bubble wrap, brown paper, and tape to fully protect each item.
  • Comfortable with light outreach tasks such as emailing or calling businesses, following provided guidelines.
  • Creative mindset and comfortable taking simple product photos or short videos.
  • Able to work independently once trained.
  • Reliable transportation to the warehouse.
  • Experience with packing, shipping, outreach, or customer communication is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Wrap each item with care and precision so it arrives in perfect condition for the customer.
  • Handle a variety of product sizes — from small bowls to larger items like end tables.
  • Place wrapped items securely in the correct box, ensuring nothing shifts during transit.
  • Seal boxes properly and apply shipping labels.
  • Have completed packages ready for scheduled pickups.
  • Familiarize yourself with inventory to know what needs to be shipped and where to find it.
  • Support with secondary tasks when order volume is low, such as organizing, light outreach, or product content creation.
