OVERVIEW:

This position primarily involves picking eyewear lenses from the warehouse shelving units. The job involves moving between the isles with a push cart and hand held baskets, loading the required lenses in the baskets onto the push cart or hand holding the baskets for single orders. The picker then moves the lenses to the checking area prior to billing the order.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Attention to detail and accuracy a must
• Must be able to handle conflicting priorities on a daily basis
• Good Communication Skills
• Must be able to work well in a small team environment

• Picking up orders from the printer from a designated area and prepare for picking
• Performing any other duties as requested by the supervisor
• Sorting and checking orders for special instructions and putting in basket
• Proceeding to the bin/row location and pick products as per order
• Taking order to the billing table for checking and invoicing, once order has been filled
• Performing housekeeping duties as required (floor sweeping the work area, picking up empty boxes…)
• Putting away and/or rotating stock
