Growing, better for you Food Manufacturer hiring for an Order Processing Specialist!
The Order Processing Specialist plays a critical role in supporting internal operations and ensuring a seamless customer experience. This team member is responsible for verifying, processing, and tracking incoming and outgoing orders related to Club accounts. They serve as a key point of contact between internal teams, customers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs), ensuring orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • 1 year of experience in order processing (sales orders, purchases orders, invoicing)
  • Working knowledge of SPS Commerce or equivalent EDI platforms.
  • Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP or NetSuite (preferred).
  • Experience with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.).
  • Background in food manufacturing or CPG industry
  • Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate internal purchase order processes, ensuring accuracy of order details for all Club accounts.
  • Review sales orders to confirm correctness and inventory availability prior to processing.
  • Monitor order progress and delivery timelines to meet customer expectations.
  • Communicate proactively with customers regarding order placement, tracking, and status updates.
  • Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems for orders, records, and correspondence.
  • Prepare and validate vendor invoices for accuracy before submission to billing.
  • Address and resolve customer delivery issues by coordinating internally with logistics and warehouse teams.
  • Track and manage active orders across SPS Commerce, 3PL systems, and NetSuite.
  • Respond to supplier correspondence and ensure appropriate documentation is attached.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on inventory availability, order allocation, and shipment logistics.
  • Support end-of-month inventory reconciliation efforts.
  • Provide backup support to the Operations Support Manager as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by direct supervisor
