JOB TITLE: Orderly GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Orderly needed to assist medical and/or nursing staff with various routine tasks. Duties may include transporting patients, personal care, gathering or moving equipment/supplies, changing lines, and cleaning equipment in a fast pace surgical center environment. REQUIREMENTS: CNA preferred and Bilingual (Spanish) speaking a plus. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Basic understanding of infection control principles * Ability to follow written and verbal instructions * Strong attention to detail * Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment * Effective teamwork and communication skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Physical Requirements * Ability to frequently lift, push, and pull patients and equipment (with assistance and/or mechanical devices). * Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. * Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and move quickly between locations. * Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for safe patient transport and environmental awareness. Work Environment * Exposure to blood, body fluids, and regulated medical waste. * Exposure to cleaning chemicals and disinfectants. * Exposure to surgical and anesthesia environments. * Requires use of required PPE.
