People are at the heart of our business, and we’re always looking for new people to join our family of professionals!  "Work Hard, Be Kind."   Benefits: * $30.00/hour while working as an Armed Officer * Part Time / Full Time  * Must be able to travel to Portland, OR * Hiring ASAP   We are a drug-free workplace.   Responsibilities/Duties: * Act as a visual deterrent to prevent theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidents * Conduct regular patrols * Monitor activities * Surveillance * Access Control * Safety escorts * Using provided communication devices * Represent SSNW’s brand * Properly wear the issued uniform * Complete Daily Activity Reports (DAR) * Complete Incident Reports * Work with local law enforcement, and emergency services * Provide friendly assistance to customers, employees and visitors following the department's procedures. * Other duties as described in the Post Orders   Required Skills/Abilities: * Current Oregon State Armed Security Guard License  * Valid driver's license and personal vehicle * Clean background check and driving record * EMT Background is a plus * Smart phone to access the apps we use for scheduling, clocking in/out, and reporting. * Reliable transportation * Honesty and Integrity * Able to work non-traditional hours including swings, graveyard, weekends, and holidays * Ability to react appropriately in high stress situations   Opportunity to work more sites in Washington State: * Attending the Academy and obtaining your Washington State Security Guard license can lead to increased opportunities for work hours. Education and Experience: * High School Diploma or Equivalent * Reserve police officers encouraged to apply * Valid driver's license with insurable record * Knowledge of security protocols, and equipment Physical Requirements: * Must be able to conduct regular walking foot patrols * Able to stand 8-12 hours a day * Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times (occasionally)   Security Services Northwest is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
