Job Description Auckland System Management (ASM) is a collaborative alliance between Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, Fulton Hogan and HEB Construction. ASM drives maintenance, renewals and operational services across Auckland's state highway network, delivering essential outcomes for our city and communities. As Organisational Performance Lead, you’ll be a key senior leader, integral to the ASM Alliance Leadership Team. You’ll lead multi-disciplinary teams spanning People and Culture, Health & Safety, and Communications, with your real impact coming not so much from the technical subject matter expertise, but from your strategic mindset, people focus and collaborative influence. Your leadership will set the tone for our organisation, engaging people, driving alignment to our strategic vision, and supporting our teams to deliver outstanding results. We are looking for someone passionate about creating a positive organisational culture, adept at working with others, and able to engage and inspire at every level. Your responsibilities will include: Provide high-level strategic leadership and advocacy for the People & Culture, Health & Safety, and Communications teams. Support and guide the Alliance Leadership Team in aligning operational and strategic priorities. Cultivate an engaged, collaborative and high-performing workforce, fostering innovation and continuous improvement. Champion a strong safety culture and best practice compliance across facilities and teams. Coach, mentor, and develop leaders to realise their potential and lift performance. Contribute to strategic frameworks and performance measures that drive excellence, accountability and positive outcomes. Represent and role-model ASM’s Alliance values in all aspects of leadership and delivery. About You: You’re an experienced senior leader with a passion for people and organisational performance. You will bring: A strategic outlook and the ability to influence, engage, and support teams across diverse disciplines. Demonstrated senior leadership in complex organisational settings (experience in public infrastructure, construction, or operational environments advantageous) Exceptional communication, coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and inspire others. Proven ability to drive strategic change, support innovation, and encourage collaborative problem-solving. Commercial acumen and change management experience. A relevant tertiary qualification.
