Description The Organizational Capacity Intern will support the Coordinator of Organizational Capacity in advancing OPPU (Our Piece of the Pie University); OPP’s internal talent development and culture-strengthening strategy. This role offers hands-on exposure to organizational development, professional learning, and systems that support people, performance, and workplace culture. The intern will also contribute to early-stage work supporting the future replication of OPPU through a social enterprise funding opportunity. Key Responsibilities Training & Professional Development Support • Research and compile professional development opportunities (trainings, webinars, workshops, conferences) aligned with organizational priorities • Identify training content, tools, and resources to support internal learning sessions and staff development • Assist with training and event logistics, including materials prep, room setup, sign-in support, and day-of coordination Content & Materials Development • Assist with the creation of flyers and visual materials for trainings, events, and internal initiatives • Proofread training materials, presentations, flyers, and internal documents for clarity, accuracy, formatting consistency, and tone Supplies, Inventory, and Organization • Maintain and organize the Zen Room inventory, ensuring materials are tracked, stocked, and replenished as needed • Create and maintain a training “needs list” to track supplies, materials, and setup requirements for upcoming sessions • Help organize and maintain training resources (digital and physical) to ensure materials are easy to locate and reuse Administrative & Project Support • Provide general administrative and logistical support to strengthen training, professional development, and organizational capacity efforts • Support coordination tasks such as document organization, notes, follow-ups, and internal tracking related to trainings and initiatives Requirements • Currently enrolled in a college or university program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s) • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Clear written communication skills, including proofreading and formatting • Reliability and follow-through; ability to manage tasks and deadlines in a part-time schedule • Comfort using basic technology tools (email, shared calendars, and document platforms such as Google Workspace or Microsoft Office) Preferred • Interest in organizational development, learning & development, HR, communications, nonprofit operations, or related fields • Experience creating flyers or simple visuals using tools like Canva, PowerPoint, or Google Slides • Ability to manage multiple tasks while staying organized and calm during event/training setup • Professional, service-oriented mindset when supporting staff learning experiences
