PURPOSE:

Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society (Bent Arrow) is a non-profit organization that provides unique programs and services to Edmonton’s urban Indigenous population. The organization was created in 1994 when Brad and Shauna Seneca identified the need for programming for Indigenous children and families based in traditional Indigenous values and teachings. This year we are celebrating our 30th anniversary, and we have grown as an agency where we have over 250 staff and 23 programs, but our mission remains to “build on the strengths of Aboriginal children, youth, and their families to enable them to develop spiritually, emotionally, physically, and mentally so they can walk proudly in both the Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities.”

THE ROLE:

Seeking an Organizational Development Specialist to enhance organizational effectiveness across programs through administrative coordination, training development, data analysis, and supervision.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage multiple program budgets and prepare reports
  • Supervise Administrative and Intake staff
  • Develop training manuals and coordinate staff development
  • Conduct data analysis and program evaluation
  • Provide program direction to program supervisors on improvement initiatives
  • Facilitate cross-program coordination and communication
