JOB DESCRIPTION

We are adding an Origination Manager to our Italian team based in our office in central Rome. We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our development team, to play a leading role in the origination of Solar and BESS projects in the Italian market. The right candidate will be key to expanding Elgin’s utility-scale solar + storage projects pipeline, by finding co-development and land opportunities. You will get the chance to partner with local co-developers to grow the project pipeline while managing feasibility and commercial matters. If you have a deep understanding of the solar and storage markets in Italy, a proven track record in closing origination deals, and a strong network within the industry, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What you will do:

  • Identify, analyse and negotiate solar and storage co-development opportunities
  • Build on and take ownership for Elgin’s legal agreements (Development Service Agreement and Share Purchase Agreement), origination and development strategy
  • Maintain constant communication with the development team, legal, and engineering teams as necessary to advance origination deals.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with various co-developers, land introducers and consultants.
  • Expand the pipeline of projects under development by selecting high-quality opportunities from a feasibility and economical point of view
  • Engage proactively with Operations and Development in relation to Elgin’s project pipeline updates
  • Continue to evolve and build existing knowledge and understanding of the renewable energy industry keeping a watching media, and networking through attendance at industry conferences where relevant or required.
  • Assessment and presentation of energy policy updates, industry insights, key challenges, and changes in the marketplace
  • Drive and promote the corporate values of Elgin within the workplace.
