Description

ARES corporation is seeking a strong systems engineering candidate that will provide critical integration support for the Orion Program under the Human Spaceflight Technical Integration contract. The candidate will perform the following: Serve as an Orion Program representative for systems engineering and integration activities for the Gateway and Human Landing System (HLS) cross program elements. Develop / integrate technical requirement language to support document managers in the development and release of ICDs and IRDs. Coordinate across government agencies to facilitate cost effective design, development, testing, and flight of Orion. Support development of cross-program Bi-lateral and Joint Integration and Verification Test Plans (BIVPs, JIVPs). Perform assessments of systems interfaces and establish technical and process solutions along with effective communications across the Gateway and Human Landing System (HLS) cross program elements to ensure consistency for hardware design and integration.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Orion Program and vehicle systems.
  • Knowledge of engineering/technical processes in the Aerospace or Defense Industry

Education:

  • BS/BA degree from an accredited college or university, plus 10 years of applicable experience, or any combination of education and applicable experience

  • Experience with multiple software applications such as MS Project, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint are required.
  • Possession of excellent data gathering analytical and interpersonal skills.

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.

    • Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.
    • Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.

    • This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.
