Responsibilities

THE ROLE

The role will involve field surveys across a wide range of sites, as well as technical reporting, to assist our growing portfolio of renewable energy projects across Scotland. Duties will be varied but will include:

  • Assisting with, or leading on, ornithology surveys, following a range of survey methodologies and techniques.
  • Data analysis and presentation, desk-based study and collating relevant data and drafting technical reports.
  • Supporting the wider UK ecology team in delivering of tenders, technical advice to clients and colleagues, other business as required.

Due to the nature of client sites and survey types, the position will involve remote working, travel away from home and some out-of-hours work. We would especially welcome ornithologists based in the Scottish Highlands (we have a local team of ornithologists based in Inverness), however we will also consider candidates from other Scottish regions.
