Description Position Overview: The Orthodontic Assistant plays a key role in supporting the orthodontist during clinical procedures and ensuring a smooth, efficient flow in the clinic. This position involves direct patient care, hands-on orthodontic work, and teamwork with the clinical and front office teams. Key Responsibilities: Prepare patients and treatment areas for orthodontic procedures Assist the orthodontist with adjustments, bonding, and other chairside procedures Take digital X-rays, intraoral photos, and impressions/scans (iTero experience a plus) Sterilize and maintain instruments and operatories Educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care Track patient progress and update charts accurately Manage inventory and maintain proper stock levels of clinical supplies Support a positive and professional patient experience at every visit Qualifications: Orthodontic or dental assisting experience preferred (will train the right candidate) Current [State] Dental Assistant Certification and X-ray license (required) Excellent communication and patient care skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities Positive attitude and team-player mentality Why You’ll Love Working Here: Supportive, upbeat team environment Consistent schedule and great work-life balance Opportunities for growth and continuing education Making a difference in patients’ confidence every day
