Description Orthodontic Assistant – Join Our Team! Meyer Dana Orthodontics is looking for a motivated, dependable, and patient-focused Orthodontic Assistant to join our team! We are a fast-paced, multi-location orthodontic practice committed to providing exceptional care and creating confident smiles. This position plays a key role in creating an outstanding patient experience while supporting our doctors and clinical team. Responsibilities Assist the orthodontist during patient procedures Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment areas Take digital X-rays, photos, and impressions/scans Place and remove orthodontic appliances as directed Educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care Ensure patient charts and clinical notes are completed accurately Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment Provide a welcoming and supportive experience for patients and families Qualifications Dental or orthodontic assisting experience preferred (but willing to train the right candidate! ) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment What We Offer Competitive pay Health, dental, and vision benefits Paid time off Team-focused and supportive work environment Opportunities for growth and continued training If you enjoy helping people, working with a great team, and making a difference in patients’ lives, we would love to meet you! Requirements Qualifications & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited orthodontic assisting program preferred Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and the orthodontic team Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations Team members are expected to uphold the culture outlined in the SDB Handbook, with a focus on our core values and any additional responsibilities as defined
