Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Orthodontic Lab model room/retainer assistant to join our dental laboratory team. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in model preparation and a strong understanding of dental lab workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mix plaster and pour dental models with precision and consistency.
  • Pour materials into molds and plaster casts to create accurate dental impressions.
  • Trim and finish dental models to meet quality standards.
  • Mount and articulate models according to case specifications and dental anatomy.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient production.
  • Collaborate with other lab technicians and departments to ensure timely case completion.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a dental lab or model room setting an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology and lab equipment is an asset.
  • Collaborate with dental professionals to ensure the accuracy of prescriptions and specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet established standards.
  • Learn and Utilize CAD/cam software and machines.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00-$17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
