ORTHODONTIC NURSE – JOIN OUR FRIENDLY TEAM!

We are a well-established International orthodontic practice in Chelsea, specialising in treating children and teenagers. We are looking for a friendly Orthodontic Nurse to join our vibrant team and help us deliver high-quality care in a welcoming environment.
Scheduled working hours: 18 hours per week, to be completed on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • GDC-registered dental nurse (essential)
  • Valid Dental Radiography certification
  • Previous experience in orthodontics (highly desirable)
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills
  • Team player with a proactive and flexible attitude
  • Valid DBS certificate and up-to-date immunisations
  • Strong understanding of cross-infection control and decontamination protocols
  • Confident in supporting chair-side during complex orthodontic treatments
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to reassure anxious young patients
  • Strong communication skills to explain procedures in child-friendly language

Responsibilities
  • Assist the orthodontist during all clinical procedures, including fitting of braces, adjustments, and removals
  • Prepare and maintain dental instruments, materials, and equipment
  • Ensure patients are comfortable and informed throughout their treatment
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Provide oral hygiene instructions and aftercare advice
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and operatory between patients
  • Monitor inventory and order clinical supplies if needed
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards and infection control protocols
  • Take full records of our patients (Photos, iTero scan, Xrays)
