Job Details Job Location: OrthoIndy YMCA - Indianapolis, IN 46254 Position Type: Part Time Job Category: Health and Wellness Benefits Include: Free Y-Membership 20 Hours Per Week of Free Child Care Flexible Hours/Scheduling Retirement Discounted Program Fees Professional Development Under the direction and supervision of the Program Director, the Specialty Program Instructor I will be primarily responsible for providing quality leadership and supervision, in classes, while maintaining a safe, non-competitive environment for YMCA members. Qualifications Required: Must be at least 18 years of age. Required: Must meet requirements of current National Organization for Competency Assurance (NOCA) certified personal training certification. Preferred: A degree in physical education, exercise science or other health related field. Preferred: Professional experience in personal training. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding personal information on children, family and YMCA staff. Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention and New Employee Orientation or the ability to obtain within 60-90 days of employment. Administrative skills including the ability to maintain required program and department documentation and records.
Responsibilities
The Specialty Program Instructor I will provide quality leadership and supervision in classes while maintaining a safe, non-competitive environment for YMCA members. This role is under the direction and supervision of the Program Director.
