Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the preparation and application of casts, splints, and braces for patients. - Support orthopaedic surgeons during surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments and supplies. - Perform patient assessments and document relevant medical histories. - Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and rehabilitation processes. - Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. - Monitor and report any changes in patient conditions to the medical team. Requirements Skills and Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; certification as an Orthopaedic Technician preferred. - Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in orthopaedics, is advantageous. - Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and orthopaedic procedures. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. - Physical stamina to assist with patient mobility and transport. - Requires regular and predictable attendance.
