Responsibilities

DNV’s Healthcare Division is seeking to fill the role of Clinical Orthopedic Surveyor Certifications. These programs include Advanced Foot & Ankle Surgery Certification (AFASC), Advanced Hip & Knee Replacement Certification (AHKRC), Advanced Shoulder Surgery Certification (AShSC), Advanced Spine Surgery Certification (ASpSC), Advanced Pediatric Spine Certification (APSpC), Orthopedic Center of Excellence Designation (OCED), and Orthopedic & Spine Center of Excellence Designation (OSCED).
This position requires 100% travel.

The primary function of the Clinical Orthopedic Surveyor is to carry out surveys/audits in accordance with the guidelines, principles and written instructions established by DNV Healthcare Inc.

  • Survey activity will include hospital patient care units, perioperative services and activities with a focus on the organization s orthopedic services.
  • Ensuring that the survey/audit work is performed in accordance with the quality requirements of the activity, and the procedures governing the activity.
  • Plan and execute surveys, report the results of surveys and follow-up, as required, within agreed timescales and economic budgets.
  • Where applicable, supervise the work and provide guidance and/or training to other survey team members.
  • Inform DNV HC management if the work cannot be performed within the agreed timeframe, or in accordance with agreed requirements and/or economic guidelines.
  • Ensure that the independent nature of the survey is not compromised at any time.
  • Other duties as assigned by appropriate management which may include providing support for NIAHO surveys.
