Job Description
The Orthopedic Sales Associate is responsible for supporting the Sales Team in achieving their goals. Sales Associates are responsible for demonstrating excellence while completing the ZQ education series and maintaining expert knowledge of our market-leading product portfolio. They will also build and maintain strong business relationships within strategic accounts, and ZB Midark.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility is to support the team in meeting its sales objectives for the territory. Assist in implementing sales plans and marketing strategies to position the team to meet/exceed territory objectives.
  • Logistics coordination of instruments and implants, including transportation of heavy instrument sets and implant totes. Inspection and assembly of instrument trays.
  • Establish strategic relationships with Central Sterilization Processing Departments to maximize cleanliness, reliability, and efficiency with Zimmer Biomet instrumentation.
  • Support the hospital’s surgical team on the safe and effective use of Zimmer Biomet products.
  • Communicate with customers regarding various topics including product updates, in-service presentations, specific surgery needs, special events, and educational opportunities.
  • Maintain sales skills and product expertise through continuing education opportunities. As required, participate in sales meetings, training, product education, and professional association meetings outside of regular business hours.
  • Collect competitive data and remain current on industry, customer, and competitive trends.
  • Apply selling strategies to focused products and implement them to targeted customers. Recognize selling opportunities, and work with team leaders on follow-up.
  • Willing to regularly work weeknights and weekends as part of an on-call rotation with the team.
  • Adhere to the strategic education and development plan as laid out by the Team Leader and Sales Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 2-3 years of sales experience preferred.
  • Must be comfortable in surgery and operating room environments.
  • Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to lift heavy objects of 35 pounds or more.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and access to transportation.
  • Pass a drug screen and background check.
