Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As an Assistant Coordinator, your passion for childcare will shine through in your compassionate, friendly approach to interacting with children. You will be responsible for:

  • With a genuine passion for childcare, you will be compassionate, approachable, and skilled at interacting with children in a positive, effective manner. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Acting as the responsible person for the service, ensuring all operations run smoothly.
  • Providing a safe and supportive OSHC environment for children and staff.
  • Managing attendance records and casual booking schedules to ensure child safety and proper supervision.
  • Overseeing and supporting other educators to ensure they understand and fulfill their responsibilities.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of creative, educational programs, along with maintaining observations and reflection journals.
  • Creating opportunities to share children’s experiences with families and celebrate their engagement in programs.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with families and the wider school community.
  • 3 hours of Administration time.

This is a permanent, part-time position offering 33 hours per week Monday to Friday split shifts BSC & ASC, Term Time Only.

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A qualification in Child Education and Care (or be working towards one).
  • Previous experience in Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) in a similar role.
  • A certificate in CHCPRT025 Identify & Report Children & Young People at Risk
  • Current First Aid certification in HLTAID012
  • A valid NSW Working with Children Check
