ASSISTANT COORDINATOR – ROSEBERY

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Coordinator to join our dynamic before and after-school care service at St Joseph’s Primary School, Rosebery.

The Role
As the Assistant Coordinator, you’ll bring your passion for childcare to life by creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children and staff alike. Your responsibilities will include:
- Serving as the responsible person for the service.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of children in the OSHC environment.
- Managing children’s attendance and casual bookings, maintaining proper supervision at all times.
- Leading and supervising a team of educators, guiding them to effectively carry out their duties.
- Contributing to the planning and delivery of engaging educational programs, including observations and reflective journaling.
- Fostering connections with families by sharing children’s participation and engagement.
- Building and nurturing strong relationships with both families and the wider school community.
This is a permanent, part-time position offering 33 hours per week.
About You
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
- A qualification in Child Education and Care (or be working towards it).
- Previous experience in Out of School Hours Care (OSHC).
- A Certificate in Child Protection training.
- Current First Aid certification.
- A valid NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Australian working rights (visa sponsorship is not available).
