Are you a qualified childcare professional with the confidence, clarity, and capability to lead a large, diverse team? Freshwater State School OSHC has just completed its Assessment & Rating, where we were given the opportunity to be assessed against the Exceeding themes. Our next goal is bold: to become the first Exceeding-rated OSHC in Cairns.
We are seeking a Coordinator who can blend compassion with competence, and who is ready to step into a pivotal leadership role at one of the most dynamic and community-loved services in the region.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As OSHC Coordinator, you will:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of a high-demand, P&C-run service (licensed for 170 children)
  • Guide a passionate team through strong communication, tech-savvy organisation, and trauma-informed leadership
  • Oversee the service’s compliance with NQF regulations, policies, and practices
  • Drive the service’s journey to become Cairns’ first Exceeding-rated OSHC
  • Cultivate meaningful partnerships with families, educators, and the school community
  • Use your digital skills (Excel, Outlook, Xplor, SharePoint) to keep everything running smoothly
