JOB SUMMARY:

We are hiring an OSP Field Survey Engineer to conduct on-site surveys for fiber network deployment projects (FTTH/FTTB). This role is critical in bridging field conditions with design accuracy. The engineer will perform visual walkouts, collect utility and topographical data, identify right-of-way (ROW) conditions, and document details like pole locations, attachment heights, and trenching feasibility.
This person will collaborate closely with the remote design team, providing insights, corrections, and supporting data for accurate and buildable fiber layouts.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1–3 years of field survey or OSP construction experience.
• Strong familiarity with pole infrastructure, aerial and underground fiber routes.
• Ability to use GPS tools, survey apps, and digital data collection platforms (e.g., Collector for ArcGIS, Fulcrum).
• Understanding of basic ROW, utility coordination, and municipal constraints.
• Comfortable working independently in the field and documenting precise, reliable data.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in telecom or fiber optic deployments.
• Knowledge of local permitting or ROW guidelines is a plus.
• Strong visual communication: annotating photos, sketches, or Google Earth data.
