Description:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of experience in outside plant engineering
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- PMP and/or RCDD certification
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience with AutoCAD or other design software
- Experience with GIS mapping software
- Experience with project management software
SKILLS:
As an OSP Engineer, you will use your strong technical skills to design and plan outside plant facilities, ensuring that they meet industry standards and regulations. You will also use your communication and collaboration skills to work closely with other engineers, technicians, and contractors to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously will be essential to your success in this role. Additionally, experience with AutoCAD or other design software, GIS mapping software, and project management software will be beneficial
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking an experienced OSP Engineer to join our team in the Telecommunication/IT industry. As an OSP Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of outside plant facilities. Your major end result will be to ensure that our outside plant facilities are reliable, efficient, and meet the needs of our customers. You will work closely with other engineers, technicians, and contractors to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and plan outside plant facilities, including fiber optic and copper cable systems
- Oversee the construction and maintenance of outside plant facilities
- Ensure that all outside plant facilities meet industry standards and regulations
- Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and contractors to ensure project completion
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members
