Role Summary:
Over the air Software Updates are at the core of RVT’s ability to rapidly develop and launch new variants and platforms in a scalable manner. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to define behaviors, manage requirements, and coordinate end to end development of subsystem features that contribute to the greater OTA feature

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to intake system and user needs into user stories to drive the engineering development process for new features
  • Collaborate with system architects, developers, and test engineers to decompose high level architectural definitions into actionable and testable system requirements
  • Continuous maintenance of requirements and test cases based on those requirements as feedback is received from engineers, internal customers, and external customers
  • Lead design and retrospective failure analyses on OTA features and systems
  • Arbitrating discussions to add new features and driving the addition of these new configurations through to production

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science/Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience working on complex, cross-functional, distributed software systems
  • 4+ years of experience developing application software in python
  • Experience with networked embedded systems (CAN, Ethernet, LIN, DOIP, ISOTP)
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high growth environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in configuration management on a complex electromechanical product (Automotive, Aerospace, Defense)
  • Experience with systems engineering and common systems analysis practices such as DFMA, FTA, HARA
  • Experience with TCP/IP systems
  • Experience with remotely connected systems and/or software updates

Pay Disclosure:
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $107,000 - $133,700 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full Time Employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
