Description Job Summary: The Driver is responsible for ensuring safe and on-time delivery to our customers, all while following Federal, State, and company regulations. Supervisory Responsibilities: · None. Duties/Responsibilities: · Secure freight and tarp when necessary in all weather conditions · Treating customers in a friendly and professional manner · Documenting each delivery by taking pictures, and communicating with the customer · Report maintenance problems and accidents in a timely manner · Look for innovation and continuous improvement opportunities in the Transportation Department · Adhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives precisely · Providing support to our loaders as needed · Maintain log of travel and cargo in accordance with Federal and State regulations and company policy · Any other duties assigned by Management Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: · Previous experience driving for a metal building or construction company a plus · Familiar with shipping orders, manifests, and delivery schedules · Experience as a flatbed driver a plus Education and Experience: · Meet all Federal Motor Carrier Guidelines · Hold a Valid Class A CDL Physical Requirements: · Ability to lift 50lbs., bend, squat, kneel and or stand for extended periods of time
