Description Position Summary: Kodiak's heavy haul division has a fleet of tractors and specialized trailers capable of hauling 200k + loads. The expectation of a Kodiak Drivers is to provide a Best-in-Class service on our specialized equipment. From Safety to Communication we are looking for Driver's that have earned their stripes to be able haul the biggest of the big, safely, competently and on-time. · Operate and drive heavy haul trucks to transport oversized loads, machinery, and equipment.· Ensure adherence to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards.· Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment.· Secure cargo properly using chains, binders, straps, and other equipment to prevent shifting or damage during transit.· Work with Permitting team to plan routes and determine the best course of action, considering factors such as road conditions, weather, and traffic.· Communicate effectively with dispatcher, customer and other team members.· Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption and delivery times.
