Our Childcare Centres are looking for a Childcare Assistant (OOSC) to be a part of our team. You will be working closely with the Child Care Lead in taking care of young children. You will be responsible for keeping a constant check on the children.
As a Childcare Assistant, you should ensure a safe and positive learning environment; you should also be able to assist with the development and implementation of various learning programs. Your job responsibilities will also include keeping the learning area clean and hygienic at all times.
To be able to perform in this job role, you should have proven experience in a childcare or similar educational facility. Moreover, you should be familiar with child development techniques and have active communication skills to work effectively with the Lead. A candidate who is highly motivated, creative, and patient will be considered.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma, College diploma, or a Bachelor’s degree
  • Certification in Early Childhood Education (1,2 or 3)
  • Clear and up to date police check with vulnerable sector check
  • Proven work experience as a Childcare Assistant, Child Care Provider or a similar role in a Child Care Facility, Preschool or similar
  • Up to date CPR & First Aid
  • Familiarity with various child development techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A keen eye for detail and a good listening ear
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Class 4 license (REQUIRED)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Displaying high levels of motivation and patience
  • Schedule- Monday - Friday, available between 7:00am-6:00pm
    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
    Pay: $19.00-$27.62 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Constantly monitoring and supervising the children
  • Driving children to and from school
  • Coordinating daily tasks with the Child Care Lead
  • Helping children with their meals and snacks
  • Greeting parents and keeping them up-to-date with their child’s progress
  • Keeping an eye on the children during playground activities
  • Reporting any emergencies to the Child Care Lead
  • Ensuring a positive and safe learning environment for the children

  • Participating in parent-teacher meetings and offering suggestions as and when required
