Job Posting: Responsible Adult Worker in Beautiful Northern BC
Our agency is expanding, and we are hiring Responsible Adults to work in our Out of School Care Program.
Kitimat Community Development Centre is excited to offer you the opportunity to be a part of our great team of childcare providers. We are currently looking to fill three Responsible Adult positions to work in our Out of School Care program. We offer a fun work environment that gives staff the opportunity to be creative while guiding and caring for the children.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Responsible Adult Certification (We can pay for this 20-hour training)
  • Degree or diploma in ECE or related field
  • One-to-three-years’ work experience in inclusive child care settings
  • CCLR approved First aid certificate

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Available Monday to Friday mornings and afternoons
  • A criminal record check clearance letter

Responsibilities
  • Have the ability and skills to develop fun and interesting activities for the children to participate in.
  • Be able to facilitate group and one on one activities.
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Adherence to childcare centre policies and regulations.
  • Maintaining child records, including observation notes and monthly progress reports.
  • Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
