Gordon Neighbourhood House’s Out-of-School care program is looking for an Out of School Care Worker to facilitate and implement exciting and educational programming for children ages 5 – 10. The Out of School Care Worker will work as a team to plan and execute creative, supportive and FUN activities for up to 40 children. We are looking for interactive and positive role models who can engage with a variety of youth and parents in a supportive, community-driven environment.
At Gordon House, we provide high-quality childcare as part of our broader commitment to a just, healthy, dynamic and intergenerational West End. We deeply embed principles of social justice into our program, which includes commitments to anti-racism, decolonization, and inclusion for children with disabilities as well as children from LGBTQ+ families. Our childcare is a progressive and dynamic place to work, and we are looking for the right people to move our program closer to that vision.
Flexible hours are available. The program runs from Monday to Friday 7:15 AM - 9:15 am, and from 2:15 PM to 6:15 PM. We are looking for candidates who can work all, some or casual shifts.
Starting rate $21.36/hour, 4-30 hours per week available. A competitive benefit package is available for all staff over 17.5 hours per week. Lots of additional employment opportunities in the Neighbourhood House, as well as professional development and network building available.
