Out of School Club Assistant/Mentor
Kidz Come First – Birmingham B7 4AA and B18 6PU
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about working with children, fun, lively and full of new ideas.
Someone who wants to make a difference in children’s lives and be apart of our Kidz Come First Team.

Main duties include: Assist with planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.

  • Collecting children from local schools at our B18 site, transporting them to our onsite After school club by using a walking bus. After school club at our B7 site is onsite.
  • Setting up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment.
  • Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met.
  • To work face to face with children that are registered at the club
  • Administering first aid when necessary.
  • Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities.
  • Helping with club administration, where necessary.
  • Encouraging parental involvement in the club.
  • Facilitating good communication with all members of the organisation, parents, and schools.
  • Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.
  • Keeping the work environment healthy, safe and secure.
  • Working within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures.
  • We do have some extra hours available working as a Mentor in the schools depending on experience

FULL TIME IN THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS BETWEEN 8AM - 5.30PM

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.50-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
