JOB SUMMARY

An established manufacturing facility in Oregon is seeking an experienced Outage/Maintenance Scheduler to support operations and maintenance planning. This role is critical in coordinating and optimizing maintenance schedules, outage planning, and resource allocation across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong scheduling expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement. JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in outage or maintenance scheduling within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Associate’s degree in engineering or a maintenance-related field preferred.
  • Experience in pulp & paper, refineries, or chemical plants.
  • Familiarity with procurement, contracts, and engineering related to turnarounds.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities
  • Create preliminary schedules for routine jobs and major outages (Annual, Cold Mill, Cycle).
  • Modify schedules based on input from operations and maintenance gatekeepers.
  • Assign personnel to tasks aligned with operational priorities and resource availability.
  • Assist in developing outage coordination plans for Cold Mill and Converting departments.
  • Update maintenance crew time allocations to improve efficiency.
  • Drive a unified schedule for all outages to streamline planning and execution.
  • Manage scope collection and freeze dates to ensure detailed and timely planning.
  • Communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders.
  • Manage quality control for contracted work packages.
  • Promote a Quality of Work program focused on safety, environmental compliance, and successful start-ups.
