QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1–2 years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or dock operations, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with Smartsheet.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Yard Management Systems (YMS).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Meet or exceed company standards on attendance, punctuality, conduct, reliability, safety and security.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a changing environment and changes in procedures.

Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Inbound / Outbound Clerk plays a key role in coordinating inbound shipments and requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can operate with minimal direct supervision, manage dock schedules, communicate with carriers, and ensure accurate documentation of shipments. This individual will process receiving/shipping orders and ensure they are filled correctly, ensuring every order is processed correctly into inventory and/or shipped to our customers. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and collaborating with multiple departments to ensure efficient Inbound operations. While performing the duties of this job, this individual is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts (forklifts and packaging machinery).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedule and coordinate Outbound truck appointments with carriers and clients.
  • Managing daily freight planning
  • Provide Internal reporting as required.
  • Work Radial Now tickets for epiphanies.
  • Possess email etiquette, typing skills and the ability to create and maintain spreadsheets.
  • Manage dock assignments and ensure timely loading/unloading of shipments.
  • Verify Bills of Lading and shipping documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate daily/weekly workflow with the management team.
  • Perform yard control duties and conduct regular audits.
  • Monitor and update shipment statuses in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Maintain accurate records of freight movement (receiving and put away) and activity.
  • Assist in resolving shipping discrepancies and freight claims.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards in Inbound areas.
  • Must adhere to facility requirements regarding the handling of specific products.
  • Support other warehouse functions as needed and directed by supervisors.
  • Support other members of the team, in any way possible, as determined by management and supervisors.
  • Work overtime as required by management.
