Description Outbound Lead 2nd Shift Garden City, GA Employment Type: Full-Time Rate of Pay: $22.50 Schedule: 2nd shift Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm Pay: $ 22.50 Job Description Purpose and Scope: The Outbound Lead is responsible for overseeing all aspects of outbound operations within a warehouse or distribution center. This role plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and timely shipment of goods to customers while maintaining compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards. Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of outbound shipping clerks, forklift operators, and other team members. Provide guidance and direction to ensure the accurate picking, packing, and loading of outgoing shipments. Monitor workflow and staffing levels to meet outbound order fulfillment requirements. Oversee the picking, packing, and staging of orders for shipment. Ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and adherence to customer specifications. Coordinate with internal departments, such as inventory control and customer service, to resolve order discrepancies and ensure on-time delivery. Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule outbound shipments. Ensure proper packaging and labeling of outgoing shipments to comply with shipping regulations. Generate shipping documents and labels, and schedule pickups with carriers. Maintain accurate records of outgoing shipments and inventory levels. Coordinate with inventory control teams to reconcile inventory discrepancies and optimize stock availability for outbound orders. Conduct periodic audits of outbound inventory to ensure accuracy. Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure the integrity of outgoing shipments. Conduct inspections of packed orders to verify accuracy and compliance with quality standards. Address any quality-related issues or concerns to maintain customer satisfaction. Knowledge of shipping regulations and best practices in warehouse operations Job Competency / Qualifications Education/ Training: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field preferred Technical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy objects. Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels. Must be able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods. Experience: Previous experience in outbound logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain management required. Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team.
