The Opportunity:
We are looking for an Outbound Sales Specialist to join our team. This position reports to the Sales Manager, and is part of our Sales Department. This person is responsible for making and receiving dozens of calls and emails per day, generating interest, serving our new and existing customers needs, processing orders, following up on unsold work, closing sales, and selling memberships. This is an inside sales, permanent and full-time position. We have a structured training program that includes step-by-step instructions and review in order to learn our enterprise software. All our Sales staff also get the opportunity to ride along with operators to gain a full understanding of the products and services we offer.
Compensation: From $18 per hour

What you’ll be doing:

  • Performing daily new calls and follow up conversations with clients to qualify and move opportunities through to the completion of the sales cycle.
  • Seeking out and establishing relationships with multiple departments in our clients’ organizations to identify more opportunities to work together
  • Respond and take action to quotes, calls and emails
  • Attending networking events/trade shows when necessary and coordinate follow-up
  • Filling our 5-day online board with Plumbing, Fencing, and Septic services and follow up
  • Forwarding any client issues that arise to the appropriate managers for immediate action and complete appropriate documentation
  • Working collaboratively with the entire team to ensure effective communication
  • Actively listening to customer concerns, providing guidance on our services to suit their needs
  • Accurately booking and entering customer requests and information into our enterprise software
  • Providing help to other members of the team when asked and performing other duties as assigned

The skills you bring:

  • Minimum of one-year phone customer service experience required, phone sales experience is an asset
  • Strong negotiation skills with the internal drive to succeed
  • Advanced computer navigation skills, ability to learn new systems
  • Ability to work with Team Members to solve problems
  • Excellent phone etiquette, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Must be able to multitask, prioritize and manage your time
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, growing team environment
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
