Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AS AN OUTCOME ASSURANCE PROGRAMME MANAGER

As an Outcome Assurance Programme Manager, you’ll work closely with our Principal Sponsor, managing a diverse range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects and ensuring they deliver meaningful outcomes for customers, communities, and the environment. You’ll be integral in assuring projects stay aligned with strategic goals, cost efficiency, and performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring projects perform against targets through regular monitoring and evidence-based insights.
  • Engaging stakeholders across various teams, clearly defining what success looks like for each project.
  • Supporting informed decision-making by providing reliable data and assurance on project outcomes.
  • Proactively identifying and managing risks, providing clear solutions to maintain the integrity of programme delivery.
  • Strengthening governance and ensuring projects meet financial, regulatory, and strategic requirements.
  • Continuously improving business performance and maintaining rigorous standards for health and safety.

Base Location: Base location flexible across multiple Thames Water sites
Hybrid 2-3 days in the office or on-site, depending on projects
Working pattern: Full-time, Monday–Friday (36 hours per week)

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Experience in asset management, operations, or investment planning, ideally within utilities or similar sectors.
  • Collaborative mindset, able to communicate effectively and build trust at all levels.
  • Ability to manage projects effectively, demonstrating successful delivery.
  • Passion for customer service, community well-being, and environmental stewardship.
  • Good financial awareness and the ability to influence decisions positively.
  • Familiarity with asset management best practices.
