Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Loading and unloading material using overhead cranes
• Set up and operate CNC Plasma cutting table
• Read blueprints and determine measurements
• Perform pre-inspection at start and cleanup at end of each shift
• Cut and trim metal objects to dimensions, contour or bevel specified by blueprints, work order or layout as required
• Accurately complete all paperwork associated with the position
• Perform other task as assigned in support of fabrication operations
• Also responsible for maintaining inventory
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1-3 years of experience with setting up and operating CNC machines
• Previous crane experience an asset
• Previous programming experience an asset
• Basic computer knowledge with the ability to accurately read and interpret drawings
• Mechanically inclined, with understanding of troubleshooting and regular maintenance of equipment
• Ability to work with a variety of saws, punch press, shears & other pneumatic/hydraulic equipment
• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet production schedules while paying attention to detail
• Ability to correctly read tape measure to 1/16”
• Shows interest and initiation to take on new assignments
• Willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions; with exposure to dust, noise and vibrations
• Previous experience in outdoor lumber yard preferred
• Good hand-eye coordination required
• Able to work shift work, holidays and weekends
