ABOUT THE ROLE:

Big Event Picnic Tables is seeking a motivated and hands-on Leading Hand to join our manufacturing team. This role is all about leading by example—"getting your hands dirty” is critical to our culture and creating a healthy workplace environment. You’ll be involved in all aspects of production, from supervising the team to actively participating in onsite job building. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate a team of manufacturing staff, ensuring productivity, quality, and safety standards are consistently met.
• Hands-On Participation: Lead by example, actively participating in all tasks including onsite building and hands-on production work. Your involvement sets the tone for the team’s work ethic.
• Production Monitoring: Oversee the production process, ensuring schedules are followed and products are delivered on time.
• Quality Control: Inspect work to ensure that all products meet the company’s quality standards.
• Training & Development: Provide ongoing training and mentorship to team members, ensuring all staff are equipped with the necessary skills.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all team members follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
• Opportunity for Overtime & Weekend Work: Availability for overtime during business peaks and occasional weekend work, particularly for our hire side of the business.
• Occasional Interstate Travel: Be prepared for occasional interstate travel to assist with jobs, as we have a warehouse in NSW and may require your expertise in different locations.
