Position Overview The City of Mount Pearl is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organized individual to join our dynamic team as an Outdoor Recreation Attendant for the summer season. This exciting position primarily supports our drop-in canoeing and kayak program while also engaging in day camps and guiding youth through outdoor water adventures. You will play a key role in ensuring a fun, safe, and educational experience for all participants as they enjoy time on the water. Qualifications & Requirements * Applicants must be between the ages of 16 and 30 by June 29, 2026. * Experience or certification in some or all the following activities: Canoeing/Kayaking. * National Lifeguard Certificate or other Aquatic certifications would be an asset. * Valid First Aid Certification. * Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR level C). * Code of Conduct with Vulnerable Sector Check – Valid within 6 months. * Must be comfortable in an aquatic setting. *The above statement reflects the duties necessary to describe the principal functions of the job and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the duties of the job. Additional Information * This is a physically demanding position.
