WHAT IS THE ROLE?

We’re seeking an experienced Outerwear Designer to join our small but dynamic team. This role goes beyond just designing; you’ll be involved in the full process – from sketching concepts to overseeing production timelines. Merging production coordination with technical design keeps you hands-on, close to the action, and in control of garment quality at every stage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Technical Design & Innovation: Work closely with the design team to create modern, functional, and technical outerwear specifically crafted for runners. Lead the way in innovative construction techniques and fabric choices.
• Supplier & Vendor Communication: Collaborate with our supplier base, asking for the best in fabric technology and garment construction. Your technical knowledge will help guide negotiations and production processes.
• Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure all products meet PRAISE’s high standards of quality, fit, and sustainability. Take ownership of the final product, making sure it aligns with the brand’s ethos and the needs of serious runners.
• Hands-on Development: Assist in the creation of tech packs, BOMs, and specifications for outerwear pieces. Your technical skills in Adobe Illustrator and Excel will be key in bridging design and production.

Who You Are:

• You have 4-7 years of experience in outerwear or performance apparel, with a deep understanding of technical garment design and production processes.
• A degree in fashion design or a related field gives you the foundation, but your passion for outerwear and performance apparel sets you apart.
• Running and outerwear expertise: Whether it’s understanding the nuances of garment construction for all-weather performance or staying ahead of fabric trends, you know what it takes to design for the running community.
• Innovative and resourceful: You thrive in dynamic environments where every challenge is a chance to push boundaries and innovate. You’re confident suggesting fresh ideas and collaborating closely with suppliers and designers to achieve both design and production goals.
• Driven by the process: You’re not just about the final product. You enjoy the journey – from ideation to production – and are keen to dive into the details to ensure each piece exceeds expectations.
