MISSION CONTRIBUTION: To ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and stewardship of the Outlet Store to maximize profitability and increase training opportunities. FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Regional Managers, the Outlet Manager oversees all daily operations of the outlet store to ensure efficiency, profitability, and exceptional customer experience. This role is responsible for planning, monitoring, and maximizing store performance through effective management of budgets, product inventory, and sales strategies. The Outlet Manager also leads the recruitment, training, supervision, and development of team members and clients while fostering strong relationships with customers to drive engagement and satisfaction.  Essential Functions:  1. Delivers and ensures consistent, world-class customer service at all times. 2. Recruits, trains, develops, supervises, and evaluates team members in alignment with Goodwill Industries of South Mississippi (GISM) policies, procedures, and job standards. 3. Manages outlet operations to achieve budgeted goals, maintaining optimal expense-to-revenue ratios and maximizing donor value. 4. Oversees the production and rotation of outlet bins, ensuring the sales floor remains fully stocked and visually appealing. 5. Ensures accuracy of all weight-based sales and load processing, including scale calibration, bin weighing, and recording of poundage sold and salvaged. 6. Implements routine store flips to drive sales and ensure all salvageable items are transferred appropriately to the warehouse. 7. Monitors and records of the quality, content, and receipt dates of salvage boxes sent to the outlet for accuracy and analysis. 8. Ensures compliance with all cash-handling and banking procedures, including register operations, sales accuracy, voids, pricing, and receipt issuance. Promotes team member participation in the Roundup Program at checkout. 9. Prepares and maintains work schedules and payroll in accordance with GISM labor policies and procedures. 10. Oversee the store’s overall image, maintenance, loss prevention, safety, and security, ensuring adherence to company standards. 11. Maintains accountability for required reports and documentation, including: * Cash handling and deposit records * Comment cards and customer feedback * Monthly safety inspections and drills * Incident and accident reports * Expense and supply reports * Team meeting minutes * Team scheduling (minimum two weeks in advance) * Sales reporting * Maintenance requests   13. Ensures compliance with the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) standards. 14. Enforces all safety and material handling protocols related to bulk goods and outlet equipment to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. 15. Performs all necessary personnel management functions, including recordkeeping, scheduling, payroll, budgeting, disciplinary actions, one-on-one meetings, and ongoing training. 17. Attends required in-service meetings and professional development training as assigned by leadership. 18. Represents Goodwill in community activities and events as requested. 19. Performs other duties as assigned by Retail Leadership. 20. Must be available for temporary or permanent transfer to other Goodwill locations within a 30-mile radius as business needs require. 21. Must be available to attend special events, including grand openings, VIP nights, soft openings, ribbon cuttings, and related functions.           MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum of two years of management or supervisory experience in a retail or business setting preferred.  * Basic judgement skills to determine merchandise/donation value.  * Associate’s degree in business or related field preferred.  * Strong leadership, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.  * Basic computer Skills.    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Able to bend, reach and stand for extensive periods of time and lift up to forty pounds. May be required to lift heavier goods/items with the assistance of another team member. * Stands and walks for most of the workday while occasionally sitting at a desk.    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  * Must be available to work evenings and weekends.  * Must have a reliable means of transportation.    CRITICAL PERFORMANCE FACTORS (CPF): 1.
