Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Retail Manager to lead our Hotpoint Factory Outlet in Gateshead. This is a fantastic opportunity to drive growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and develop your team within a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve Sales Targets: Manage the sale of graded products, ensuring KPIs, margin targets, and volume goals are consistently met.
  • Customer Base Development: Drive the growth of our Outlet’s customer base through innovative strategies, ensuring maximum sales potential.
  • Efficient Sales Management: Oversee the sale of products to both the public and trade customers, ensuring a safe, efficient, and customer-friendly experience.
  • Compliance & Legal Standards: Ensure all products are sold in compliance with relevant legal requirements.
  • Product Demonstrations: Actively demonstrate product features, enhancing customer experience and boosting sales through in-depth product knowledge.
  • Pricing & Inventory Management: Set, review, and maintain competitive prices, ensuring they align with Outlet KPIs. Manage stock levels with 100% accuracy, including performing weekly stock counts and the annual stock take.
  • Sales Order Processing: Ensure timely and accurate entry of sales orders into SAP to maintain efficient operations.
  • P&L Management: Oversee the Outlet’s profit and loss, keeping operational costs (including staff, advertising, and other expenditures) within budget.
  • Strategic Planning & Promotion: Develop and implement strategies to deliver Outlet KPIs, including creating promotional activities, advertising campaigns, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Local Marketing & Advertising: Manage the Outlet’s advertising budget, collaborating with local media partners to create cost-effective promotional campaigns that increase brand awareness and drive sales.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure all staff are properly trained, instructed, and adhere to the company’s health and safety policies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams across the business to achieve optimal outcomes for the Outlet.
  • Revenue Maximisation: Identify and cultivate new revenue streams, driving bottom-line growth for the Outlet.

Skills Required:

  • PC Literate: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (and ideally SAP) to manage data, stock, and sales.
  • E-Commerce & Digital Awareness: Solid understanding of online retail and digital channels to support both B2C strategies.
  • Experience in D2C & B2B: Previous experience in Direct-to-Consumer and Business-to-Business sales, with a focus on growth and customer acquisition.
  • People Development: Proven ability to lead and develop a team, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
  • Customer-Centric: A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a positive experience for all customers.
  • Team Player & Strong Leadership: Capable of motivating a team, leading by example, and ensuring a collaborative work culture.
  • Proactive & Enthusiastic: Energetic with a drive to take initiative and solve problems.
  • Retail Experience: Previous experience in retail management, ideally in the appliance or consumer goods sector.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
