Recovering Hope Treatment Center is looking for a strong, relational leader to step into a key role overseeing our outpatient counseling program. This is not just a supervision position. You will be responsible for creating a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, and growth while ensuring our outpatient services remain compliant, well-staffed, and responsive to client needs. Position Summary The Outpatient Counselor Supervisor provides leadership, oversight, and development of outpatient clinical services within a co-occurring substance use and mental health treatment setting. This role is responsible for hiring, onboarding, supervising, and developing a multidisciplinary team that includes LADC’s, ADC-T’s, interns, and peer recovery staff. This position ensures that services meet Minnesota 245G standards while maintaining a strong focus on quality care, client outcomes, and staff development. What You’ll Be Responsible For You will not just manage a team. You will build and shape it. You will lead hiring efforts, identifying and selecting counselors, interns, and peer recovery staff who align with the program’s mission and clinical expectations. Once hired, you will onboard and develop staff through structured supervision, coaching, and performance feedback, helping them grow into confident and competent clinicians. You will ensure the outpatient program is appropriately staffed at all times, balancing caseloads, scheduling, and coverage to meet client demand without burning out your team. You will provide ongoing clinical supervision and guidance, supporting staff in delivering ethical, effective, and individualized care to clients with substance use and co-occurring mental health needs. You will monitor and maintain the quality of counseling services, ensuring documentation, treatment planning, and service delivery meet both regulatory standards and internal expectations for excellence. You will oversee compliance with Minnesota 245G requirements, ensuring the program is audit-ready while still maintaining a human, client-centered approach. You will collaborate with leadership and other departments to continuously improve programming, address gaps, and respond to emerging client and workforce needs.
