Inova Outpatient Nursing Services is looking for a dedicated Outpatient Master Preceptor to join the team. This role will be full time day shift from Full Time Days Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm. Outpatient Master Preceptor Job Responsibilities: * Works with the clinical leadership team to synthesize data about quality and safety measures which lead to needed improvements in standards of care by developing, revising and implementing policies, procedures and protocols. * Creates, develops and updates educational materials on a regular/consistent basis. Incorporates best practices and research into educational programs and analyzes the quality/effectiveness of educational programs. * Orients team members to patient care standards, performance standards and policies/procedures. Implements programs for staff to achieve standards in patient care and outcomes for quality goals, patient safety goals and patient experience goals. * Provides training for point-of-care testing and ensures compliance with regulatory measures. * Leads teams to incorporate best practices into programs that are scholarly, evidence based, outcomes focused, timely and relevant. Provides consultation and expertise to influence plans for enhancing the abilities of others and affecting change. Minimum Qualifications: * Education: Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Associate's Degree OR a Vocational / Technical Diploma in Practical Nursing * Licensure: RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse OR a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia * Experience: Three years of progressive experience in outpatient clinical care. * Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association.
