Overview Healthpoint, part of the M42 group, is a multi-specialty hospital based in Abu Dhabi. The hospital includes 10 specialty centers: bariatric (weight loss) surgery & weight loss, dentistry, medical specialties, musculoskeletal medicine, pain management & headache, physiotherapy & rehabilitation, plastic surgery & dermatology, pulmonary & sleep medicine, vascular medicine & surgery, & surgical specialties. This role is responsible for performing the daily pharmaceutical operational activities including but not limited to preparing, compounding and dispensing medication to patients in adherence to prescriptions issued by physicians and in line with M42 and Department of Health (DoH) policies, procedures, guidelines and standards. Responsibilities Performs the daily pharmaceutical operations including but not limited to activities related to preparation, verification, compounding, packaging, labelling, appropriate dispensing and delivery of medications in compliance with the relevant rules and regulations. Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting the physicians’ medication orders and prescriptions and detects any therapeutic incompatibilities. Prepares and labels pharmaceuticals and verifies medication order entries, charges and inspections in line with the pharmacy operational requirements. Assists in implementing clinical programs, initiatives and services to ensure patient safety and quality healthcare delivery and participates in educational and research activities Protects patients and Pharmacy caregivers by adhering to infection-control protocols. Provides support to the Pharmacy team in all logistics related activities. Develops and maintains proper documentation on patient medication profiles in an accurate and timely manner. Performs the daily pharmaceutical operations including but not limited to activities related to preparation, verification, PBM approval or charging, compounding, packaging, labelling, appropriate dispensing and delivery of medications in compliance with the relevant rules and regulations. Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting the physicians’ medication orders and prescriptions and detects any therapeutic incompatibilities. Prepares and labels pharmaceuticals and verifies medication order entries, charges and inspections in line with the pharmacy operational requirements. Protects patients and Pharmacy caregivers by adhering to infection-control protocols. Assists in the maintenance of records for controlled substances and the removal of outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory. Provides support to the Pharmacy team in all logistics related activities. Develops and maintains proper documentation on patient medication profiles in an accurate and timely manner. Supports the educational needs of patients and their families with appropriate medical counselling. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy At least 2 years of experience post qualification in the pharmaceutical field Completion of specialty qualification as per the recognized specialty certificate (Department Of Health Guidelines) Department of Health (DOH) license holder Knowledge of key pharmaceutical procedures and current best practices Good understanding of pharmacy related regulations Practical knowledge in Microsoft Office suite
