Typical hours are 7:00 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. * This position is based within Jefferson Regional Laboratory Department Job Summary: The Outpatient Reference Clerk is responsible for registering patients for laboratory testing. This role performs scheduled courier trips to reference client’s offices to pick-up specimens and deliver supplies. Other duties include processing specimens for laboratory testing and perform clerical duties as assigned and performing outpatient phlebotomy procedures. Outpatient Reference Clerk Qualifications: * High School diploma or equivalent required. * Technical Diploma in phlebotomy preferred. * Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program preferred. * Certification in phlebotomy preferred. * This is a safety sensitive position. * * Minimum Requirements: * Basic knowledge of computer systems and data entry. * Willingness to learn and develop phlebotomy skills. * Excellent customer service skills * Ability to operate a vehicle and maintain acceptable driving record * Ability to learn techniques for venipunctures * Preferred Requirements: * Experience in clinical setting * Experience in phlebotomy procedure Benefits & Perks: your health and happiness matters!
